An Evening with ...
Nick Walker Sat 11 September,
7.30 pm Nick is an ex Royal
Marine bandsman and principal trombonist on the Royal Yacht Britannia. He is now a local teacher - and
Middlesborough supporter - so it’s not all good! Listen to Nick’s journey from growing up in
the North East to becoming a music teacher.
Nick was a Royal Marine for 24 years and served around the world,
including a two year posting on board Her Majesty’s Yacht Britannia. A light hearted and amusing, illustrated talk,
intertwined with musical renditions.
He might even let you into a few secrets on what it’s really like to
work on one of the most famous ships in the world. Find out about being a marine and what goes
on above and below deck. Event
suitable for all of the family.
Tickets include cheese, wine and soft drinks plus there will be music
from a fantastic local choir. Tickets
£7.50 adult, £4 children (under 18’s). Bingo Night Sat 23 October,
7.30 pm Eyes down and look
in - our bingo night is back for everyone to enjoy. All the usual fun and frivolity plus some
great prizes on offer. Everyone is
welcome to attend and new players are encouraged. No need to book, just turn up - you never
know, it could be your lucky night! All events are at
Newlands House unless otherwise stated
