Newlands
House is one of over 28 services run by Leonard Cheshire in the Eastern
Region. Leonard Cheshire is the leading charity provider of services for
disabled people in the UK, providing 140 services for over 10,000 disabled
people across the Country. Our flexible range of services is designed to
support people with many different kinds of disability, enabling them to get
the most out of life.
Thirty-two
people live at Newlands House, a dual registered residential care and nursing
home. We support people with severe physical disabilities, and have a wide
range of special aids and equipment to enable residents to live as
independently as possible. Residents are of all ages, and, though we do not
usually admit people over the age of 65, residents may stay with us for life
as long as it remains an appropriate home for them.
Newlands House Cheshire Home is one of the Flagships of the Leonard Cheshire Foundation and is situated in the picturesque South Derbyshire Village of Netherseal. This purpose built home is set in 4 1/2 acres of parkland and yet is only yards from the the local amenities in the form of the village post office, shop and pub. Newlands House is easily accessed from many major Midland Cities including Derby, Nottingham, Leicester, Coventry, Birmingham and Lichfield being only a couple of miles from junction 11 on the M42.
